Winter Resilience

We applied for funding from Trafford Council to run a winter resilience project. This started in December 2021 and runs until the end of March 2022.

So far we have helped a couple of winter warmer events at our allotment with some hot soup. We also purchased some winter warmer bags containing a hot water bottle, thermal mug, thermal hat, gloves and socks and a blanket. These were issued at our model making and craft group and breakfast events. We have so far given out 60 to veterans and their family members.

We are waiting for a new batch of handwarmers to be able to distribute too to help keep people warm during the winter chill!
