Some great news for us this month as we start to work on a new , a mobile veterans hub! Community Champion Catharine from ASDA Trafford Park had this to say;
“It was my great pleasure to present an Asda Foundation spaces and places grant for £24,696 to the wonderful team at Trafford Veterans CIC.
The money will be used to fit out a van ready to serve our local community and further afield to help veterans. The group are amazing and hold regular a breakfast club, craft and model groups, provide a warm hub and much more. They are amazing and I can’t wait to welcome them to our store to help anyone that would like support or just a chat and a brew. The Asda Foundation surprised 31 different community groups with spaces and places grants totalling over £600,000 this summer, ranging between £10,000 and £25,000. The grants aim to improve community spaces in local areas across the UK.”
