We were honoured and delighted to wish Albert a happy 101st birthday today! We commissioned a special cake, which was made by local cake shop, Cakes by P. It had his regimental logo on. Cakes By P – Bespoke Wedding and Celebration Cakes Irlam Manchester
Albert served in the Royal Army Medical Corps from the age of 18 during World War 2 where he was captured by the Japanese. He later served in the Korean war also being captured again. He is a fabulous man.
As well as a cake we bought him a jumper ready for winter with the RAMC regimental logo on. Colonel (retd) Neil Smith also joined us to present him with a personal letter from the Brigadier from the RAMC Association. Thank you all round for helping make his day!
