We would like to say a Big Happy 101st Birthday to one of our own local heroes Frank Tolley. He served on the Lancaster Bombers during World War 2 and took part in Operation Manna dropping food over Holland.
Our breakfast on Saturday 16th July we held a special event for him. We commissioned a cake from Cakes by P which turned out amazing! Blog – Cakes By P
On the day itself, we had a guard of honour from members of 605 Squadron RAF and 182 Squadron Air Cadets. Entertainment was provided by Domonique who sang some 1940’s favourites and was fabulous! Domonique | Facebook
Also a huge thank you to Military Veterans walking sticks who made a bespoke RAF stick just for Frank.
